Weekend Throwing Course for Beginners

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th February 2026
10am-4pm

This two-day course provides a hands-on introduction to the basic skills of throwing on the potter's wheel. The first day begins with a demonstration and guidance on clay preparation and tools. For the rest of the day, you will be throwing on an electric wheel. Everyone has their own wheel for the course, which is limited to seven students. On the second day you will be able to trim and decorate your pots ready for drying and then firing. Your pieces will be fired and glazed for you to collect approx. 6 weeks later or can be posted to you via arrangement.

Each day a vegetarian lunch, tea/coffee will be provided.

- Full payment is required to secure a place in any class or workshop.
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the class are eligible for a full refund or credit.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the class are non-refundable.
- Missed classes are not refundable or transferable.
- In the rare event that we cancel a class, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.
