Ceramics Taster Class – Hand Building for Complete Beginners

This relaxed and hands-on taster session is the perfect introduction to ceramics for complete beginners.

Over the course of this 2.5-hour class, you'll get the chance to explore the basics of hand building with clay in a welcoming and creative environment. With step-by-step guidance, you'll learn simple techniques such as pinch pots and coil building — ideal for making small bowls, cups, or sculptural forms. There's no pressure to make anything perfect — this is a chance to play, experiment, and get a feel for the material.

After the class, we’ll glaze and fire your favourite pieces for you. They’ll be ready to collect from the studio approximately 6 weeks later.

This class is suitable for total beginners — no previous experience is needed.
